Artist Statement: Olivia Walko is a Chicago based illustrator and fine artist. Their work is often bleeding with color while the subjects suffer varying levels of abstraction and stylization. Olivia is currently exploring themes of identity and transformation in works that covers a range of media such as watercolor painting, ceramics, digital, etc. Working with different materials allows them to fully capture the dimensions of the self and its liquid relationship to itself at different times and during different experiences.
