Artist Statement: Mimi Thran is an emerging artist based in Chicago and an alum of Columbia College Chicago. Inspired by their everyday surroundings, life experiences, and a desire to beautify the world, Thran specializes in Venetian glass mosaics, but uses a variety of mediums to decorate premade objects.
