Artist Statement:
As a mixed media artist, I explore themes of social change, sustainability, and personal identity through sculpture, ceramics, painting, and graphic design. My paintings incorporate oil, acrylic, and cold wax medium, creating layered textures that invite deeper engagement. My work often reflects my experiences as a first-generation Mexican American, using visual storytelling to address women’s rights, environmental consciousness, and cultural narratives. I want my art to spark conversation—whether about personal reflection, activism, or the intersection of humanity and nature. By blending traditional and contemporary techniques, I strive to create pieces that not only evoke emotion but also encourage dialogue about pressing social issues.
