Artist Statement: My name is Petey, I'm a Junior Illustration Major, and I love to draw silly things that bring me joy! My goal with my art is to make other people smile by creating silly, brightly-colored artworks--anything from cats in space playing with stars to skeletons with skateboards to cryptids, if it makes me happy, then I hope it'll make other people happy, and in our current world, little bursts of joy can make your day that much better. Especially as a trans artist, holding onto that joy and spreading it to other people is a powerful thing.
