Artist Statement: My name is Tiana Bass, and I come from the suburbs west of Chicago. I’ve always been observant of the world around me. My work focuses on mixing the anatomy of living beings to create new possibilities—reconstructing creatures by blending elements of those that already exist. Through this process, I explore how familiar forms can be reshaped into something imaginative and unexpected, pushing the boundaries between the real and the fantastical.
