Artist Statement: Logan Basil is a queer mixed media illustrator from the Midwest. His illustrative work focuses on expressive use of color, texture, and shape. Basil's background as a mixed-media traditional artist inspires him to bring that experimentation to digital work and combine the strengths of various mediums. He is constantly inspired by music, comics, and movies. He loves new wave and riot grrrl music, horror, and German expressionism. Basil is currently working as a colorist on two student-animated short films alongside working at FlowerMouth Press.
