Artist Statement

Ashley Baranczyk is a visual artist. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin she moved to Chicago in 2017 to attend Columbia College. She has a keen interest in using photography to begin conversations about theories, world events and uncommon ways of seeing the mundane. Both in the studio and the natural environment she is drawn to form, light and color. Ashley graduated from Columbia College Chicago in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in photography and journalism, and is excited to continue to capture, learn and question.
