A Print Show: Same but Different is a spotlight exhibition highlighting the idiosyncrasies within the printmaking media. Through artistic choices and experimentation with technique, inks, and paper as well as variances that can occur within the making process; slight differences within a series make each print unique.

Exhibition runs August 5 - September 12, 2024 and can be viewed during regular Shop hours. All works are available for purchase with additional pieces available in-store only.

FEATURED ARTISTS

Dilyn Halverson
Illustration, 2024

Dilyn Halverson is an illustrator from St. Louis, with a special interest in printmaking. They are inspired by vintage and western motifs.


Finch
Fine Arts, 2024

Gillian "Finch" Naradowski is a mixed-media artist with an emphasis on printmaking. Using a combination of drawn and printed images, she conveys a quiet stillness that draws in the audience, allowing them to stand still in the spaces she creates. Naradowski is inspired by her childhood in the Appalachian Mountain region, and the many homes she has lived in. Using mountain landscapes and delicate line work, she reflects on these spaces, evaluating the meaning of “home.”

 

Maya Krueger
Illustration, 2024

Maya is a fine artist and illustrator born and raised in Chicago with a passion for oil painting, printmaking, and experimenting with new mediums.  Her art encourages people to live in the present by giving attention to simple, peaceful moments, offering a chance for reflection and gratitude that they may not normally receive.  She is interested in creating dualities and combines realism with a loose, dynamic approach.  Her main areas of focus are studio art, surface design, and packaging design.

I'm an Illinois resident and a graphic design major at Columbia, but I have a deep love for traditional and illustrative art as well. My art has always been a way to express myself and spark joy. It allows me to represent myself in my purest, silliest form and fills my life with such joy. With my work, my goal is always to produce smiles.



WCIFS

Jada Russell/WCIFS is an illustrator based in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. Her passion for art stems from her childhood. Because of this, she discovered a program called Young Artist At Work. Through this program, Jada had the privilege to collaborate with fellow creatives and create a series of awe-inspiring murals that continue to grace her community to this day. The experience proved to be a pivotal moment for Jada, as it helped her uncover her true calling in life, art. Jada's artwork is an exciting mix of playful experimentation and a testament to her love for all things cute and adorable. Be it stuffed animals, clothes, or even food, Jada can capture the essence of cuteness in her designs, all the while infusing them with a youthful, playful energy that is uniquely her own. Through her art, Jada aspires to spread joy and happiness and to make the world a brighter, more vibrant place.
