Artist Statement: Ruby Bean is an illustrator and muralist from Austin Texas who now resides in Chicago Illinois. They are currently receiving their BFA in Illustration from Columbia College Chicago. Their work explores themes of Gender, Community and Special Interest. Inspiration comes from their own relationship with gender and the ever so changing communities around them. You can catch them painting on walls or working digitally as their craft applys all types of traditional and digital media.
