Triana is a 21 year old student and artist living in Chicago.
Often using materials such as previously owned canvas, cardboard, and reclaimed wood, Triana likes to start working with something that already has character, and then manipulate it. Not only does this serve as a great starting point, it also cuts down on the use of new materials in her art.
She is inspired greatly by the human form and explores this within many of her pieces. These figures are often disproportional in their shape as a way to speak about dysmorphia. The use of composition and proportion are important in her works. the way colors and shapes interact also has a large influence on her. breaking down an image into simply the key points needed to understand an image is a common theme.
