Artist Statement: My name is Aurora, Aurie for short. I come from the suburbs of Illinois. I'm 21 years old, and I’m a double major in Graphics and Film, but love doing Illustration on the side. I’m a bat enthusiast, everything for bats, love them with all my art. Learning of the different species inspires me to make more art, because I’m learning in the process! I love making people happy with my designs and art, it’s a comfort for me. I’ve been making art ever since I was a kid, it wasn’t great art, but I know I enjoyed it. That’s why I came to Columbia, I’m surrounded by people like me who appreciate and love art no matter their major.
