Artist Statement: Dahlia is from the suburbs of Chicago, growing up she always had a love for the creative, she loved drawing and dancing and found that both gave her a freedom of expression and imagination. Dahlia creates charmingly sweet and vibrant images, Characters that pop off the page and enchanting environments that let the imagination run free. Dahlia attended Columbia College Chicago as a Illustration major, there she found her creative soul and grew as an artist and individual. She found that she wanted to create drawings that children could gaze over like she would as a child. The illustrations she loved as a kid inspired her and she hopes that her own do the same for other kids just like her.
