Project Statement: This is a sticker that says "My Cultura" its a mix of Spanish and English since "cultura" is culture in Spanish. Under it it says "For siempre" which translates "for ever". Its meant to encourage anyone who sees it to be proud of their culture and where they come from.
Artist Statement: Esmeralda is a Graphic Design major at Columbia College Chicago. She likes to explore the world and learn as much from it as she can. For three out of her four high school years she moved around a lot which allowed her to see many different cultures, people, and places. Esme takes inspiration from this and from her own culture. She believes that there are many beautiful things out there and there is always something to be learned from them. Esme does all kinds of work from photography to painting, however her passion falls in designing. She hopes to keep creating and to inspire others in their creations.
