Artist Statement: Hi I'm Jessie! I've always loved drawing ever since I was younger but little did I know that I could pursue it as a career until later in my school years. So fast forward to high school, I first discovered graphic design which then led me to find out about illustration as a major and career path! So I'm very grateful to be able to pursue my creative passions and be surrounded by so many amazing and creative people here at Columbia! As for my inspirations, I love all things anime, manga and videogames so a lot of my art is inspired from those various media, and I often enjoy drawing fanart for all the different fandoms I love and am very passionate about. I also enjoy designing and creating my own original characters, developing their stories and seeing how their personalities grow and shine!
