Artist Statement: Hailing from the Chicago suburbs, 27 Rats is heavily inspired by the comics and cartoons he read and watched growing up. Artists such as Jack Kirby, Akira Toriyama, Bryan Lee O’Malley, and Tradd Moore are strong influences in his work. On a never-ending journey to create fresh art that calls back the creators that inform his work.
