The process of making headbands and clips started when I sewed bits of extra and recycled fabric together for base and color. Then adding layers of leather craps, cut and strategically arranged, to give a signature design element as well as a stabling structure to later be sewed and or glued to an elastic head band, or hair clip. Depending on the theme I’m exploring, leather could be hand painted or wood burned with patterns, or buttons and charms can be hand sewed on. The process of making these pieces starts off very intuitively, guaranteeing that every design is unique and directly responding to that moment’s inspiration.
